Usually, when I go to the grocery store, I don’t find such a great selection of reduced produce, but I also don’t normally do my shopping on Sunday mornings. Maybe it’s prime time to score the best produce? Next time that I go to the grocery store, I’m planning to ask the produce manager when they put out the reduced produce. It might even have multiple times each week, and I’m all about fresh produce on the cheap!
Plus, the more produce that I have in the house, the more likely I am to eat it. So, my goal is to make sure that none of these fruits and veggies go to waste. I hate seeing food go bad, so I’m constantly trying to incorporate it into my meals and snacks. Buying cheap produce encourages me to get creative in the kitchen, and, at the same time, I “trade up” the nutrition of my meals.

My store doesn’t have a reduced produce section either. They sell the damaged produce for full-price. If I’m lucky though, I can get reduced meat at one of the Lubbock (1 hr away) stores, but nothing here.
My stores don’t have a reduced section either. Which is a bummer because I would definitely take advantage of this section if there was one! I love buying produce and if I can get it cheaper I’m there!
My store doesn’t have a section either. They just throw away damaged or older produce, which is such a waste. I have seen lots of produce I would be willing to eat getting tossed in the trash.
One of the stores I frequent does have a reduce produce cart and I try to get in there before its raked over but most of the time no such luck! We always have browning “red tape” bananas for 25cents/lb though so thats nice. Good idea to check w/ the produce managers. I’ll be doing that tonight!
I love to check the reduced produced section for ingredients I plan on using that night.I love that your packages are odds and ends… apples w/the mango and the artichoke with the b-nut squash.
