A Little Bit of Everything

Good morning! :)

I love meals that include a little bit of everything– lots of different flavors, tastes, and textures. It makes the meal interesting and the combination of foods is soooo satisfying. I swear these types of meals keep me full for hours and hours.

My breakfast this morning included lots of foods: an egg, yogurt, toast with peanut butter, and watermelon. Having so many different foods also gives me an opportunity to share their NuVal scores, so here goes!

Eggland’s Best Egg (NuVal score 44) + Stonyfield Low-Fat Strawberry Yogurt (NuVal score: 29)

Watermelon (NuVal score: 94) + Arnold 100% Whole Wheat Sandwich Thins (NuVal score: 37) with Teddie Smooth UnSalted Peanut Butter (NuVal score: 49)

I also drank some iced coffee with Edensoy Soymilk Original (NuVal score: 82).

What did you have for breakfast this morning?

Feel free to include some NuVal scores! ;)

  1. Ooh, your breakfast looks amazing! I had oatmeal with walnuts and raisins this morning. I was rushing to get out the door, so I lopped it onto a big plate! It makes it cool faster ;) Hope you like that tip :D

  2. I’m totally with you on meals that feature a variety of tastes and textures. This morning I had overnight raspberry vanilla bean cinnamon oats: organic raspberries, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, vanilla bean paste, oats, all-fruit raspberry preserves, fat-free plain Greek yogurt and a touch of water soaked overnight… added this morning: Kashi Warm Cinnamon Heart to Heart and a bit of Cascadian Farms Cinnamon Crunch. I don’t have the NuVal scores, but it was absolutely delicious!

  4. I can’t find Teddie peanut butter here in Singapore, most unfortunate.

Anyway, I read carrotsncake like a devotee and really like your breakfasts.

    Go on inspiring Tina!

  7. I typically read your CNC blog, but wanted to comment over here as well. I also traveled to Vermont last week and was so excited to see Nuval scores in the grocery store. I was explaining to the people we were traveling with what they were and what the numbers mean. Sadly, we don’t have them in the area I live in. :( Additionally, I was impressed with the focus on local and organic foods in Vermont. Everything just seemed to taste better!

  16. Your plate makes the food look unappetizing. That design looks like filthy dried up egg splatter.
