I considered calling this Deal of the Week “Cheapskate’s Deal of the Week” because now I feel kind of embarrassed writing about it! I feel like such a cheapskate!
When I stay at hotels, especially fancy ones, I always take the free hand soap from the bathroom. I figure it’s part of the nightly rate that I pay, so I might as well get my money’s worth!

These mini bars are perfect for the soap dish in my bathroom. They’re also great for packing in my gym bag and taking with me on vacation.

I’ve been traveling and staying in hotels a lot lately, so I’ve really cleaned up on these bars of soap! But, at least they’re sort of pretty, right? And, of course, the best part is that they are free!

I also steal everything I can from a hotel. I take the shampoo and my husband uses it – he hasn’t actually purchased shampoo in several months! And if there’s a continental breakfast, I always sneak a few extra packets of tea or those little tubs of peanut butter. Every little bit helps!
Tina, don’t feel cheap I think lots of us do that. I even heard Martha Stewart say she takes the shower caps with her
I love how you put them in a square glass vase!
i love that idea!
My dad does a bit of travelling and when he does he takes all the soap and shampoo but doesn’t keep them. When he has enough he donates it to the local homeless shelter.
I feel like if you pay for the bill, they won’t mind a tiny soap being gone!
ha, I love taking the shampoo + conditioner, especially if they’re good brands!
But I always think of the Friends episode where Ross takes EVERYTHING: toilet paper, lightbulbs, batteries from the remotes…
I do the same thing!
Recently when I stayed in a hotel room with my Mom and sister, and we didn’t use the free Bath and Body Works shampoo and conditioner; my Mom asked if I wanted to take them back for my roommate! Not the best souvenir
