Shop, Trade, Save: Week of January 31

This week, my husband offered to do the grocery shopping by himself. Sweet! I had a lot to do around the house, so I took him up on it.

When my husband returned from grocery shipping, he came home with a few of items “off” the list– some of which did not score very high on the NuVal scale, such as Pillsbury Refrigerated Cookie Dough (NuVal score: 1). Oh, husbands. What can you do, right?

The cookie dough actually ended up being a blessing in disguise because freshly baked cookies definitely hit the spot later that night! ;)

  1. A 1? Haha, my oh my that’s pathetic. I wonder if Immaculate Baking Co. does better?

  2. Wow! He did a LOT of shopping! Sad to see how low the cookie dough is, but not really surprised. I am a bit surprised by the low score of the eggs though. I wonder if it’s the brand (how the chickens are raised) or eggs in general.
