Sweet Potato Fries

Even though sweet potatoes may be part of the Thanksgiving dinner tradition, these naturally sweet vegetables can be added to your meals throughout the year.

Sweet potatoes are nutritional all-stars! They score a 96 on the NuVal scale!

A simple and delicious way to incorporate sweet potatoes into your diet is sweet potato fries. Sweet potatoes fries are a fun finger food or side dish, and always a crowd-pleaser. Give them a try!

Sweet Potato Fries

Makes 2-3 servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 small sweet potatoes
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp paprika

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 425*F.
  • Chop sweet potatoes into “fries.”
  • In a plastic Ziplock bag, add sweet potato fries, olive oil, cinnamon, and paprika.
  • Seal the bag and shake thoroughly to coat sweet potato fries.
  • Spread the fries onto a baking sheet covered in tin foil.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning fries every 10 minutes or so.
  • Allow to cool for about 5 minutes and serve warm (or cold) with low-fat sour cream, Ranch dressing, ketchup, or horseradish.

  7. omg so yummy! I would also highly suggest tossing with some italian seasoning, lemon pepper seasoning, and olive oil. DELICIOUS!
