Shop, Trade, Save: Week of January 17

My husband and I did a big shopping at the grocery store this week. We are out of everything! It was one of those trips to the grocery when you feel like you buy one of everything! Even still, we are able to save some money and trade-up!

Store coupons

In addition to vendor coupons, I also hang onto the coupons that I receive along with my grocery receipt at the end of my shopping trip. Sometimes they are for competitor products, but I’m always willing to try something new! ;) I also had a store coupon for $3.50 off my entire purchase, but I forgot to snap a photo of it.

Store coupons are a great incentive to keep you shopping at the same store, but they also help you save money– and every cent counts!

  2. any suggestions for trading up my luna bars?? I love luna bars b/c they pack 8-9g protein, for about 170 cals and don’t cause blood sugar issues.

i sometimes resort to them as a pre-gym early morning workout b/c its quick as i’m literally running out the door to get to the gym by 6!!!

I also resort to them as a nice calorie boost because i am currently training for a 10 mile race in April and a half marathon in May.

    TIA!!!

  4. Is 37 a decent score for bread. (arnold’s wheat thins) I always buy this and am wondering if I should stick with them or switch to another kind.

  5. I love the coupons that stores give out because they usually have to do with what you buy. i usually get them for sandwich thins, cat food/litter, and oikos which makes greek yogurt way more affordable!

  6. I’m surprised that ground turkey only scores a 33. I wonder, does it take into account how lean of a ground turkey you purchase?
